I just bought this so I only have a couple of hours on it. The good. Outstanding piture. Dark blacks obviously. But I really acquired this for the Three dimensional. I had narrowed my choices down to the particular samsung pn59D8000 and the Panasonic p55VT30. If you’re confused between Directed and Plasma, absolutely plasma is better, picture is just lot much better. Setup: Menus layout is nice, just like my old New samsung. Very easy. I am yet to do any fine-tuning. Out of the box modes tend to be decent.
Smart Television set: Nice. Since this technologies is still in its childhood, its not perfect. Cellular connects to home community in 10 seconds. Program is decent. Performance is little slow but works. Apps as if you Samsung PN51D8000 Tube are substandard, I don’t like them, search feature of the App is ineffective, needs more operate. Did not try Netflix. Hulu is OK. Web browser, operates but useless, unclear why would you want to use browser on TV. I tried some websites just like PBSkids and Bravo plus they didnt work well. General search is nice. DLNA is a useful one, no issues. May play view and photo from PC without any issues. I will be testing Play-On media hosting server and it is working OK.
TV remote is good, qwerty keyboard is useful
For the price ~1500, this is very good buy

I’ve had this kind of TV for a full week now and for the most part it’s been great. We used this TV to change a 2 year old Straight talk samsung LCD 46″ 1080p that we have been moving to the gameroom.

To start with, the picture is excellent. Its like getting HD for the first time again. The actual default settings have been ok but way too bright in my opinion. Soon after dialing the backlight lower and configuring the actual motion plus, it looks like I’m watching through a window.

Perfect for gaming! I’ve expended about 20 hrs or so online (Bad Co. 2 & COD Black ops) and still have noticed zero fall from the TV. Place it to gaming method and tweak the particular black levels and you’re simply good to go. I couldn’t be more impressed with the photograph or speed.

Now for the bad….
I have 3 hardwired Xbox’s and 2 wi-fi. I also have 1 hardwired PC along with 1 wireless. I run 2 android os phones and a community printer all through One router at my property. My network has been stable for years with no problems connecting, streaming, or downloading. When I tried to operate the network create, the tv finds the particular network but can not connect. I run the setup once more and it connects and definitely will lose connection following about a 10 instant period. It’s been any nightmare trying to get this thing to stay connected. I am already considering ditching the wireless and losing a Cat6 cable exclusively for the tv.

The remote control is great but difficult to use in the dark. It has a light on it but it only keeps on for a second, not long enough to function. If you can’t see the remote control you’re going to have to start a light to read it.

My set didn’t come with 3d spectacles so I’m holding out to get those at this time. Samsung just released they will be shipping Only two pair with each established after May A single and they are dropping the cost of each pair to $50.00us on May First for those of us who failed to get them included. I am going to order mine during those times.

All Samsung UN46D7000 in all, The tv really does just what I bought that for. I have personal computers and 360’s for the internet hence the bad wireless as well as apps are not a big issue for me. It’s good for gaming and may blow you away on Blu-Ray. Even turned off the D7000 looks very impressive. I’m going to try to hardwire the set along with hopefully will get better results with the “Smart” part of the tv.

I tried your 3d conversion and yes it does add some wonderful depth. I like this. I plan 55LW5600 to do it with some real Three dimensional content to see if it’s impressive.

I am attached to the Internet and attemptedto use the browser to look at an episode of Fortress from the ABC site. The site told me to update my edition of Flash and that i have no idea how to try this since I don’t know the actual operating system. It would be good if I could use the idea to watch online symptoms without going through one of several pay services (Video on demand).

I’m happy with the TV, but I think it would be wise to hold off for a 240Hz model if you can wait/afford this.
