SubscribeI tripped over this when i looking for a vise… I was somewhat skeptical of this tool’s capabilities but decided on give Rockwell RK9000 Jawhorse a try.
In the month or so since i received it, i’ve familiar it for every odd-job motion i’ve escape into. For my fellow skeptics out there sitting on the fence wondering, i get on say that i a.m. Convinced.
It has performed flawlessly on two of my children’s school projects. I seated a skate bearing in a piece of pvc, drilled a gap in a 1/4″ dowel, created a temporary bench so my daughter could perforate pilot holes in plywood, clamped pieces of wood so they could be screwed together, following this various other tasks. The jawhorse adapted on each job so quickly following this nearly effortlessly that i was able on savor the time we spent on each project. I a.m. So familiar on having on trade withy frustrating parts of these projects–and having on spend much too long on them. We spent less than one hour on each project following this they turned out great. That’s wealth the price of the machine right there!
This morning i was installing a topside covering light fixture. I needed on join the wires before i could attach the fixture on the topside covering withy bolts. I clamped the light fixture on a seven-foot 1×2 withy a small bar fastener. I then clamped the 1×2 in the jawhorse on that the fixture was in a perfect attitude under the topside covering outlet box. It was exactly the same sturdy. Surprisingly so. I was in a attitude on occupation in the manner of my own pace, no kid asking how long they had on help, no wife offering proficient advice. (no offense, my dear!) The jawhorse was the perfect assistant.
Pros: surprisingly sturdy. You can fastener on items withy a varying degree of force, depending on the job following this concentration of the item. Solid construction, i see no reason why this thought won’t outlast me. Shipped by amazon keen on use right out of the box.
Cons: it’s a slightly bit laborious on lead around. As a tradeoff for existence a solid tool, it is likewise heavy. The weight of a link bowling balls. Also, i ultimately decided on review the instructions for folding it up. It is just a slightly too unwieldy on lead around lacking collapsing the legs. And… Each time i lead it, i get grease on my hands from the vise screw. I a.m. obviously not grabbing it in the right place. Also, following this this is a minor point, i guess, but portion rubs me the wrong mode about owning portion advertised on one infomercial. I a.m. A slightly uneasy about having a friend advent over following this saying, “hey, you bought single of those things?”
I knew this was a considerate purchase when single of my kids said, “man, he uses that for everything.” it’s not often that a purchase works out this well.
